Our monthly wine tastings are casual, fun and amusing—as you might expect they would be when you combine more than a dozen women with an equal number of bottles of wine. Nevertheless, amidst the fun, we do have a mission: to educate ourselves about different wines and learn to distinguish between the good and the bad.

Nobilo 2005 Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, New Zealand
The favorite wine from our June event, Nobilo’s 2005 Sauvignon Blanc received an 87 rating from The Wine Enthusiast and an 89 from Wine Spectator. The maker describes this wine as “bursting with ripe passionfruit, lemon and peach” with a palate that “is full and crisp, underscored by a lively, balanced acidity.”
