We’re in for a super cool event this month as we’ll be having our November WV gathering at Mesh Spa in Hoboken. The Director of Mesh Spa, Melissa Shea, has a ton of cool stuff planned for us and a few surprises that will not be revealed until the night of the event. (She’s hinted at gift bags, a raffle drawing, and a few other surprises that I will keep mum on…)

Rhymes with Heritage
Wednesday, September 6, 2006 7:00 PM
Meritage wines have been much maligned by those who incorrectly assume that it is of French origins. In reality, Meritage is decidedly American, so please, whatever you do, make sure you pronounce the name correctly. As this month’s title instructs: Meritage rhymes with heritage…

A Grape with Many Names…
Wednesday, July 5, 2006 7:00 PM
What is in a name? That which we call a Riesling by any other word would taste as sweet… Okay, so it’s not exactly Shakespeare verbatim, but apropos nonetheless.

June marks our first event dedicated to white wine since the WV’s inception, so we were determined to get it white…er…right! To kick off our Season of Whites, the honor will go to the ever popular, Sauvignon Blanc—a favorful, versatile, perfect-for-summer white.
Champagne and ... Shoes?
Wednesday, May 3, 2006 7:00 PM
Yes ladies, May's event will be a combination of sparkling wines and shoe shopping. It simply doesn't get any better than this. We'll be holding the event at Sole Search, located at 8th and Washington ... and, by the way, everything in the store will be 20% off ... bring money ... lots and lots of money ... ;-)
April Tipple
Wednesday, April 5, 2006 7:00 PM
When it comes to wine, an extraordinary Pinot Noir is the benchmark against which all others can be measured. It is a well known fact that Pinot Noir is the most difficult grape to cultivate, but when all things come together, the wine produced from it is sublime. We think that Meditrina, the Roman goddess of wine and health, must have smiled upon this grape, but cursed the men who try to tame it.
March Madness
Wednesday, March 1, 2006 7:00 PM
As the team’s make their way to the finals in March, the Women of the Vine have a little ‘March Madness’ of their own in mind... And, we have a special guest speaker to boot.
Red is for Love
Wednesday, February 1, 2006 7:00 PM
The color red is almost always associated with love and passion, so in the spirit of Valentine’s Day, this month it’s all about Red Rioja! The red Rioja is Spain’s most popular wine, and it’s known for its strawberry and vanilla flavors. Sounds like a perfect combination for a month dedicated to the celebration of love...
