Good content is hard to find. No doubt there are several good writers among the Women of the Vine members and fans. To help grow our community, we would like to encourage you to contribute to this site—be that in the form of full fledged articles, wine reviews, definitions for the WineWiki or suggestions for other features.
All article submissions will be reviewed and edited by our web team before publication. After editing, we’ll provide you with the draft final copy for your review and permission to publish with your byline. As a courtesy, we send the contributing author a notification three days prior to the publish date, along with a permalink for the article.
Note that we cannot accept any material previously published in print or on the Web.
Send articles and other content for consideration to firstname.lastname@example.org. Before submitting an article, please make sure you have read, and your article submission conforms with, the following Guidelines for Articles.
Basic Guidelines for Articles
- Articles should be 500 to 1,500 words in length
- Each article submitted should include a title, subtitle (if any), byline, content body and author’s bio.
- Articles should be submitted either in plain text (.txt file), or if you need to indicate complex formatting, as RTF (or Word .doc). In any case, hyperlinks must be clearly marked. Note: do not send emails with the article content in the body of the email, make sure it is an attachment.
- We welcome you to provide graphics or suggestions regarding visual elements for articles, but reserve the right to replace these with graphics of our own. Do not provide copyrighted images with your article. The Women of the Vine, owners and operators of this site shall have no liability for publication of any copyrighted material supplied by you, and you will be asked to sign a release and indemnification for all supplied graphics.
